Camera
The camera is used when you choose to photograph an entry, profile image or cover, or scan a shared-ledger invitation QR code. Declining prevents the corresponding capture or scan; other accounting actions remain available. Captured images are used for the feature when you continue the relevant upload action.
Photos and files
The app accesses the entry photos, avatars and covers you choose through the system picker. File selection reads the statement file you choose to import. Cancelling the selection does not upload new images or import new files, and other accounting features remain available.
Android uses the system photo picker or file selection interface without requesting access to the entire photo or video library. In versions supporting in-app feedback, you may select photos or existing videos as feedback attachments and upload them by submitting the feedback. This feature does not record video or audio.
Exported files, entry screenshots and log archives can be passed to the device file system or your chosen sharing destination. Check the recipient.
Location
Location access while using the app is requested as needed only when you actively add an entry location or tap the current-location control. You can choose approximate location. Declining prevents automatic positioning, but you can still select a point manually or save entries without a location. Viewing a saved location does not request new location permission.
Attaching location is an optional VIP feature. Map requests and coordinates saved in M-Jot entries are separate processing. Denying location does not block every map network request. Current features support foreground selection and display, not background route tracking.
Network and device information
Sign-in, cloud synchronization, uploads, maps, import processing and Google Play purchases need network access. Device model/name, app version, platform, language and time zone support sessions, compatibility and troubleshooting, generally without a separate system permission prompt.
Manage permissions
Select this app in your device’s system settings to view, restrict or withdraw camera, photo and location access. You can re-enable access there when needed.
Revoking permissions does not delete saved or uploaded information or cancel a subscription. See the linked policies for data handling and deletion.
