Built-in categories cover common income and spending. Check the entry type first, then choose a category. Try to use consistent names for the same purpose.
Add your own categories
Create custom categories when the defaults do not fit. Choose clear, stable names that help with later searches and statistics, without creating a new category for every purchase.
Consider earlier records
Category changes affect how you interpret statistics. Review existing records before editing or deleting categories, and follow the app’s validation rules.
